There will likely be additional fees associated with the labels/publishers. Most publishers will request a prepaid advance, similar to a clearance fee. Most labels associated with the sample(s) may want some form of pre-paid fee or advance payment agreement. Additionally, some music sample licensing agrrements include another fee known as a ‘rollover’. A rollover fee is essentially a royalty rate that is calculated based on a sales threshold. This means once you’ve sold a set amount of downloads of your new song, you’ll owe the label a percentage of the money earned.
